Death

I wonder if thinking about death makes me weird. It's during night times that one gets pensive about the workings of the universe and whatnots. I guess I'm really weird, odd and morbid. I wonder if people think about these while living in the monotonicity of their daily life. Sometimes, i wonder what it was like to die, not suicide per se, but the feeling where you drift from living to the unconscious state of death. Night times are very much a struggle for me-its the time where the dark thoughts emerge and engulf me so bad, i just wish for morning to arrive. It pains me so much to think of separation at the end of my life-there's no point in marriage/friends/education/family when one has to give it up in the end. Hence the phrase, from ashes to ashes, from dust to dust. Sometimes i wonder if it would be painful if i jumped from my house on the 17th storey down...will my skull crack? Will there be blood gushing out? I just wish that i never knew when i was dying, so that i can just go in peace. I don't want to hold on knowing that i will leave everyone, and then the pain and sadness disappears forever in my consciousness. Sometimes, i just wish to end it all, once and for all, and die knowing that i chose to end my suffering instead of prolonging my sadness at the end. I really wish i can ask God these questions. Why do we have to die? I'd rather live a happy life, not caring about death. Maybe the more educated one is, one philosophies more.

When dawn arises, everything turns better. It's only at night when i battle these questions within myself..

Today, i was feeling so stressed out over my deadlines. This week is HELL week. 1 Politics and Visual presentation on Monday, 1 history debate on Thursday and one essay due on Friday, PLUS 4 tutorials for Even school weeks. WTF right. I'm working on a really tight schedule, and i doubt i'll get much sleep for this week, chionging my assignments ):

Thanks to the boyfriend who gave me much motivation and encouragement to work hard for my schoolwork, and asking me not to give up. So many times, i feel like giving up..but when i think of bf, i suddenly feel encouraged <3 Thanks baby for being there for me to hear me rant, and giving me lotsa encouragement to work hard! loves

Update!

Wow i see cobwebs around my blog already! haha the boyfriend says i haven't updated my blog for a long time, so here goes:

Here's some backdated pictures of CNY 2010.. I love this dress very much! teehee. I ordered this online, but then it came to my mail looking so different from the blogshop, as in i felt really ugly in the dress, but anyhow, i just wore it! :D Changed my mind after seeing that it's not THAT bad afterall.

Not too bad right? Pardon me for the zilian photos, i just loveeee my dress lots!

So it's the 2nd semester of my 2nd year alry, and i'm so busy! Busy with schoolwork, tests, essays etc! But i'm really thankful that the boy's always here with me, giving me encouragement! Thanks my love! <3 March & April are HELL months for me, and obviously, i've been slacking wayyyyyyy too much! :(

Anyhow, 2010 is the year for 21st birthdays! I'm so excited cause it's the year of the 1989 babies! *hint hint* haha my 21st is coming up in 3 weeks time & i'm holding a chalet at sentosa with all my friends. So stressful planning my birthday yet i'm so excited! I can't wait to meet Carol, hwee hsia, choy chee, laura, ruishan etc etc! And i'm gonna go book my cake tmr with choy chee & ben tmr! Gonna search for party decos too! I really want to post a picture of my soon-to-be birthday cake, but i decided it will remain a surprise :D I can't wait to see everyone's reactions when they see the cake! Thanks to boyfriend for booking the chalet for me! love ya baby!

Oh yeah, i'm going for Carol's birthday party tmr! So cool lah, she booked a function room at Marina's kbox! haha.

Hi baby,

I know you've been working very hard for the past few months; time to take a break once in awhile, & take care of your health alright? I know you do read my blog, so wanna say that i miss you always, even when you're right beside me, but more so, when you're not with me. Your birthday's coming up, are you looking forward to it??!! Hahah hope you like the little surprise i've planned for you. I know you've been telling me to save money, so let's not go out to celebrate & buy presents-that's what you said. But it's your special day, & you deserve the best for that day, so you are fully excused to indulge yourself :) Your little son, grandson & daughter are very happy to have you as their father, hehe. Happy Second Anniversary! ❤❤

Alright, so it's the boyfriend & I's second anniversary ❤ But since our anniversary fell on a friday, & it being a school day, i could only meet him for dinner! =( But anyway, i was pretty excited for dinner cause we were going to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner! Awesome place i'd say, more on that later. Pictures for now:

I don't know why my camera produced such blurry images. It usually happens at night, & i don't like to use flash, so there it goes: An ultra pixellated picture. There's 2 levels at HRC, & i was on top. But unfortunately, it was full house on the 1st floor, else i'd have chosen to be seated there. I think the ground floor is more vibrant than the 2nd storey though..

Old school vibe going on there. With the guitars & old records hung on the wall. In the menu, there are many stories about rock legends, particularly this one (about musicians smashing their guitars, known as "axe": "Pete Townsend was first. But almost 30 years after The Who guitarist smashed his axe, Nirvana would uphold what had become a rock tradition."

Side note: Why do musicians like to smash their guitars? HAHAHA

HRC has a pretty cool concept: In-house live bands everyday; ours was Energy that night (that brings to my mind the cheesy Taiwanese boyband, god forbid). And it's a Ladies Night for HRC i guess *giggles*

OMG the food was to die for, seriously. Baby's food:

Twisted Mac, Chicken & Cheese
A grilled chicken breast tops off twisted
Cavatappi pasta tossed in a lightly spiced
3-cheese sauce, with garlic, roasted red
peppers and Romano parsley bread crumbs.
Served with a side of garlic toast. ordered Chicken Macaroni with cheese & bread.
(quoted from the HRC's menu) Awesome i tell you, simple awesome. And did i mention it was an entrée too? Looks more like a main course!

Ordered mashed potatoes too. Ultra yummy too! :D

My main dish from the Smokehouse:

Hickory Smoked Bar-B-Que Chicken
Our famous Southern-style half-chicken, rubbed,
grilled, and basted with our authentic Hickory
Bar-B-Que sauce. Served with seasoned fries,
ranch beans and fresh coleslaw.

Alright, my food was a-l-r-i-g-h-t. I mean, french fries & coleslaw-how different can one cook it anyway too? The chicken was a little dry, but overall passable. The baked beans by the left side was yummy! Definitely a different style of cooking. Maybe i was too hungry that i found my food (even the french fries) delicious. But i do think their food is better than average! :) And it was so huge i could not finish my chicken. LOL. $27 for my meal, imagine! Crazily expensive!

Some overdue pictures: the heat in Singapore is crazily hot recently, i had to have some respite from the heat! Dessert Bowl at Serangoon Gardens! The dessert sucked big time. DON'T GO THERE!

Above picture: is the reason why it sucked. Despite its yummy look, it tasted WEIRD. They added those gula meluka syrup -coconut sugar (a brownish kind of sugar) into the ice (can't be seen from here) & it was downright weird. I mean, how can a bowl of dessert like that go wrong? The ice cream tasted cheap, like they bought from NTUC kind. I know that i'm only eating dessert in a cafe, not in a high class restaurant, BUT IT REALLY TASTED LIKE CHEAP ICE CREAM! There IS a difference between good vanilla ice cream and bad ones. The ice cream from MOF (located at Bugis Junction) served excellent quality vanilla ice cream. Even Ikea's vanilla soft serve was good! It's the quality, not the location!

Some honeydew sago. Passable but forgettable. Still better than the above fruit dessert.

My iced green tea: Yummy! Tasted alot like Starbucks' one though..but Teadot's one tasted more unique in the sense that you have to mix the drink to get the desired taste :) Love the milk based tea too!

Missing in Action

I've been MIA for the past weeks, but nothing's happening much with my life right now, so i'm not gonna bore my blog & friends here with uninteresting stuffs! Anyway, 8 more days to our second anniversary! I'm so happy & excited & i can't wait! :D School's started, & so far so good. A couple of hickups here & there, & i expect to be extremely busy for the next few months (3 level 3000 mods can you believe it???!!) I'm gonna die of exhaustion first. xoxo

Soo, it's coming the end of the hols' for me, & in another 2 more days, it's back to the same old school. *Grimaces in horror* Anyway, before the hols' are properly over, the girls & i decided to meet up before the start of another gruelling school term. Final painting the town red & all. Just that with my girls, it's just plain old fun
